From Showit Manual
The Showit +Site feature allows you to create unlimited Subdomains that allow you to host independent client and event websites such as:
- Bride and Groom website
- Portrait shoot website
- Single Event website
- Sporting Event website
- Supporting Business website
- Department website
- a bunch of other things you want to use it for...
One of the best things about Showit +Site is it's non-competitive. What we mean by that is you do not have to have your main website built with Showit (though we love it when you do). A Showit +Site is published to a Subdomain, so you can take advantage of this great feature with or without your main site being with Showit. Before you can publish a +Site you must complete the Configure Subdomain steps.

Editing and Disabling a +Site
Tutorial Video - Disable +Site
- Learn how to disable a +Site.
Steps to Edit or Disable +Site
To edit the subdomain name on a +Site, when you have the +Site open, go to the Site menu and click on Domain Setup...
From here you can change the subdomain and click update.
If you want to Disable a +Site, click on the Disable button and this will remove the +Site from being online. Disabling a site is essentially the same thing as deleting a site but with the added benefit of allowing you to undo the delete at a later point if you decide you want to reactivate the +Site. To reactivate a site later, you can find the list of your disabled sites from the Site Selection dialog.
Enable a Disabled +Site
- Learn how to re-enable a +Site
Steps to Re-Enable a +Site
If you disabled a +Site and want to enable it again.
- Go to the Site Selection window and open the disabled +Site.
- Click on the Site menu and then Domain Setup... which will launch a window that looks like this:
- Click the Enable button and then close.
- Then you MUST click Publish to put your site back online.
Duplicating a +Site
If you create a style that you want to use on multiple +Sites, the recommended approach is to right click on the Style Group and choose Export Style Group. Select where you want it saved to your local machine and then wait as it exports all the files associated with the style. Note: If you use Multiple Computers you must have all media assets from the style group on the computer doing the export for the export process to complete. See the Sync Files section of the Media Library for more info.
Once the export is complete, use the Site Selection dialog to switch to your main domain name. From your main domain, click on the Add Style Group icon in the lower left, then Import Style in the top right and choose the exported Style Group file. This will then import the Style Group to your domain and from any +Site when you click the Add Style Group button, the imported Style Group will be available in the My Styles tab.
Restrictions for Those People
We've created this feature so you can offer a really great service to your clients. But if you're one of those people that tries to cheat the system the below message is for you.
NOTE TO CHEATERS: The Showit +Site feature does not allow to you to host multiple domain names. Each unique domain name must be registered with a separate email account and login. In addition, in following the Terms of Service you may not resell websites or use your +Sites to host websites for other businesses without the express written consent of Showitfast, Inc. The Showit +Site feature is for the use of extending a website with multiple subdomains under the umbrella of the primary domain name.
